SOCKS FROM OUR OWN ALPACA FIBER

If you have never worn alpaca socks you are in for a treat. Alpaca is a hollow core fiber that allows for breath-ability while maintaining high insulation characteristics. It keeps your feet warm but not sweaty. Almost like having down insulated socks. We have several of our alpacas that have “sock grade” fiber which after shearing is processed into socks. We have two basic sock types; regular and heavy. All socks are washable (follow directions minimizing agitation) and should only be air dried. Good thing about alpaca fiber, is repels dirt and odors. Our pacas can lay in the mud with the white animals almost black. Once the dirt is dry and the roll or shake they are back to being white again. This makes the socks perfect for camping as two pair of socks should last at least a week.

There are two lengths for these socks, calf and ankle. See size chart below for best size. If in doubt, size UP. Socks will tighten when washed but will restretch if directions are followed.

Most sizes come in three colors, limited black available for some sizes.

Thick terry loop socks are like a wool sweater for your feet. They are excellent for wearing in boots of all kinds or for those cold floors on winter days. These run bigger than our regular socks so please refer to the correct chart for these socks.
